A Look At The Importance Of Fire Safety Here In The United States

There’s no doubt about it that fires are hugely dangerous. In fact, this is so much the case that we teach children how to act and react in the face of a fire from a very early age – as soon as they are old enough to really understand it, as a matter of fact. For many children, stop, drop, and roll is ingrained for virtually forever, but this is not the only step that must be taken towards fire safety though it is, of course, still an important thing to learn.

First, it’s important to understand the scope of fires – where they occur as well as what kinds of damage they cause. High rise fires, for instance, are particularly common. Fires seen in hotel and motel properties accrue billions of dollars worth of damage on a yearly basis. In that same span of time, hundreds of people will be injured in such fires and some of them will even, tragic as it is, lose their lives as a result of them. But even when the injuries sustained are not life threatening, recovering from burns of any na (more…)

6 Electrical Tests for Current Transformers

It is important to conduct current transformer testing that includes inspection and calibration on scheduled intervals. There are six CT tests that should be performed with CT test meters for the best accuracy and service reliability:

1. Ratio Test

CT ratio is the ratio of primary current input to secondary current output at full load. If there is a change in the primary current output, the secondary current output will adjust accordingly. Unlike the voltage or power transformer, the primary winding of the current transformer consists of only one or very few turns, being either a single flat turn, a heavy wire coil wrapped around the core, or a bar or conductor that has been positioned through a central hole.

2. Polarity Test

The polarity of a CT is determined by what direction the coils wrap around the transformer core, either clockwise or counterclockwise, and (more…)

Poe Digital Clocks Offer the Power and Dependability Needed for any Business

From the beginning of time people have worked to keep track of it and monitor it. From primitive sundials to the early mechanical clocks, tracking time has always been a priority for people. Over time, more inventive and accurate methods of timekeeping have been developed. Additionally, systems have been created to maintain accurate time over multiple devices.

The Network Time Protocol (NTP) is one of the oldest forms of internet protocols used to maintain accurate time over multiple devises. The Precision Time Protocol (PTP) is used to synchronize time over an entire network. When working from multiple devices and even throughout multiple offices, maintaining a consistent tracking of time will help to keep everyone working consistently together.

Power over Ethernet POE digital clocks provide both power and time updates through one cable, which has been found to be increasingly beneficial and accurate. Maintaining a standardized time ensures that everyone is starting and st (more…)

How Sharp Interactive Displays and Outsource Printing Can Benefit Your Business

If you run a business, or even work in a school, you know there are a lot of facets that could be simplified and streamlined. While there isn’t enough time to go into detail about every little aspect, here are two simplifications that could truly make a difference in the way you conduct business.

Sharp Interactive Display

An interactive display board is everything your meeting room
or classroom needs to have additional functionality. Meetings can quickly become boring when the main speaker is trying to show off an idea or concept, only to find out the computer isn’t working as it should. In addition to having to wait for an IT specialist to show up and fix the problem, the meeting quickly become derailed, and the momentum is lost. This also goes for classrooms, and lectures can quickly spiral into student conversation time when the professor is unable to get a presentation wor (more…)

Carbon Fiber Manufacturing

We often times take for granted all of the things around us that we use, without understanding the materials in them or the effort that goes into their manufacturing. For example, carbon fiber and custom carbon fiber manufacturing services are a widely used, durable material that is an important aspect of many things we consider vital to every day life. How would our materialistic possessions change without carbon fiber? How do chemical manufacturers assess purity? If carbon fiber ceased to exist, what other objects and inventions that we are accustomed to would go away? How do chemical manufacturers assess purity of carbon fiber? Here is a quick guide on what carbon fiber is used for, where it came from, and why it is so important.

What is carbon fiber, exactly? Carbon fiber product is a material that is made of extremely find and thinly woven fibers than be as small as 0.005 millimeters in diameter, which is a very tiny fraction of the thickness of your fingernail. In custom ca (more…)

Custom Presses for Clothes

It is no secret that the textile industry is one of the biggest and most popular around the world, and vast amounts of new clothes are designed, produced, and purchased every year by global consumers (with the United States being a particularly huge market). Everyone needs clothes to wear, whether for work, for everyday life, or for formal occasions, and a wide variety of shirts, pants, dresses, hats, scarves, coats, and more are produced all the time. Among these clothes, there are some that are open to customization by their owners, and this can often mean using heat press machines to make custom transfers for pre-printed logos onto clothing. That is, a plain T-shirt, a pair of pants, or even a hat can be placed into a heat transfer machine and a new logo or decal or pattern can be fused onto it with enough heat and pressure. This is a popular industry among clothing consumers that allows them to spice up and personalize their clothes with new patterns and visuals, and best of all, u (more…)

A Product Content Management System to Protect Your Brand

A mom in Virginia with twin boys with peanut allergies wants to keep her home and kitchen peanut-free. A college student who uses a grocery delivery service is allergic to dairy and wants a quick way to customize her order for safety. A pregnant woman wants specific foods to meet her unique dietary needs. All of these people can benefit from the future shopping experience being created with product catalog software and management systems.

There is so much to keep track of if you have an ecommerce store or platform. There are lengthy product descriptions, ingredients, allergen labels, photos, and nutrition information. Every ecommerce store that is or is considering selling consumer product goods (CPG) must have access to a product content management system.

CPGs have historically been sold at your local grocery store or what is referred to as “brick and mortar” in-person shops. However, the outlook for CPGs to be sold online is good. Currently, the grocery stores sell about 45% of (more…)

Three Advasntages To Using Digital Microscopes

Since the invention of the first microscope in the late 1500s, microscopy has been a steady fascination for scores of people. From its use in medical breakthroughs to its ability to illuminate and magnify, microscopes have served an important purpose throughout history, both in professional and personal use.

The invention of the microscope changed the way we understood the world around us (and within us). The first microscope was invented in 1590, although historians don’t know for sure who invented it. Hans Lippershey filed the first patent for a telescope, but other evidence points to Hans and Zacharias Janssen, a father-son team of spectacle makers who lived in the same town as Lippershey.

While microscopes play an important role still today, the traditional laboratory microscope is being replaced by digital microscopes in another advancement of science. Digital microscopes include a regular microscope with a digital camera, which allows a user to see what he/she is studyi (more…)

What Type Of Paper Is Right For You?

How To Choose The Right Paper

Most of us usually wouldn’t have to worry about picking the correct paper for printers, but choosing the right paper is imperative for many of us to do our jobs efficiently. We don’t put much thought into how paper binds our world together, from coloring books to school books, paper has been the fabric holding it all together. Thankful there’s an engineering bond paper constructed for the most tedious of jobs–there’s even engineering bond paper in bulk. Through documents, flyers, or posters, its got you covered.

1. Factor in the product: The final product is essential when choosing the right type of paper, just as if it were the front. Although it doesn’t seem likely, the kind of paper used can have a significant impact on the overall quality of the finished product and how well people receive it. Ask yourself questions like: What do I want my final project to be? How functional do I want it? What do I want it to convey? Frivolou (more…)

Taking A Closer Look Behind Shopping And Clothing In The United States

There is no doubt about it that the clothing industry is hugely important here in the United States. After all, it has been widely and largely successful all throughout the country – as well as in a number of places abroad as well. In fact, the data that has been gathered on the subject more than backs up this claim, showing that the market for apparel in just the United States alone had already reached a value of $315 billion by the time that we had reached the year of 2016. And by the time that we have reached the year of 2025, now just over five years in the future, this market value is anticipated to reach a truly astonishing $385 billion.

And that’s just in the United States alone, let alone in the rest of the world. On a global scale, it’s clear to see that the world of clothing and fashion is equally as important, as it is currently worth more than $2.5 trillion, an astronomical amount by just about any standards, here in the United States or beyond.
